Community Service

University of North Dakota Athletics prides itself on its commitment to serving the Greater Grand Forks community and beyond. By continuously developing quality community partners, UND student-athletes have been able to extend their outreach efforts to many causes and organizations to support our community. Throughout the years, UND athletics has continuously earned national honors and recognition for service, including leading the nation in community service impact score during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.

Requesting Student-Athlete Volunteers

If your organization would like to request student-athlete volunteers for your next service project, please note the following:
  • Requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to your service date to allow UND Compliance to ensure confirmation that your request meets all NCAA compliance rules and regulations.
  • If your request meets NCAA compliance rules and regulations, a member of UND athletics will connect with the listed coordinator(s) from the submitted request to go over event details and begin the volunteer recruitment process. As the event date approaches, UND athletics staff will keep you updated on the signup process.
  • UND athletics cannot guarantee volunteers due to student-athlete time demands and scheduling conflicts. Community coordinators are recommended to have a backup plan in case their request cannot be fulfilled.
