Christy Kramer is in her fourth year as assistant director of media relations at North Dakota. She is the primary contact for Fighting Sioux women's basketball, volleyball and women's and men's swimming and diving.
A Ft. Pierre, S.D., native, Kramer graduated from St. Cloud State in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in public relations/advertising and a minor in graphic design. In 2005, she received a master's degree in the same field from SCSU.
While at St. Cloud, Kramer served as a media relations graduate assistant for swimming and diving, baseball and men's and women's track and field/cross country.
Prior to UND, Kramer was a sports information intern at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. With the Spartans, she served as the primary contact for women's soccer, wrestling and baseball.
Kramer is an active member of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and serves on the publications committee. She is also active in the Football Writer's Association of America and the United States Basketball Writers Association.
Kramer resides in Grand Forks and coaches part-time at Red River Valley Gymnastics. Her brother, Ben, is the head high school football coach in Hot Spring, S.D. , and her uncle, Joe Kramer, is the head high school football coach in Pierre, S.D.
