2011: Will redshirt during the season while recovering from off-season surgery

2010:  Started 42 games during his first season with the program … Thirty-eight of those starts were behind the dish, while he also made three starts at third base and one at shortstop … Singled and drove in a run in his UND debut at Wichita State (March 2) … Had a trio of multiple-hit games, including a 3-for-5 effort with two runs in a 6-2 victory at Texas-Pan American (April 16) … Went 6-for-17 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored in the series win over the Broncs … Threw out nine would-be base stealers during the season ... Earned first letter.

Before UND: Played two seasons at Mt. San Jacinto College ... Batted .379 en route to earning second team All-Foothill Conference honors as a sophomore in 2009 ... Also added a pair of home runs and 31 RBI for the Eagles, who posted a 35-10 record, including a 4-3 mark during the CCCAA playoffs ... A 2007 graduate of Serrano High School ... Earned three letters as a prep shortstop ... Batted .411 as a senior for head coach Joe Knowlton.

Personal: Son of Mike and Cindy Bunch ... Brother, Kevin, was drafted in the seventh round by the Oakland Athletics (2005) ... Majoring in criminal justice.
