The Iowa City, Iowa, native started all but three contests over his 64-game career, averaging 6.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per tilt ... Last season, Sims ranked fifth on the team with 7.9 points per game and third with 6.0 boards per game to help the Eagles reach the JUCO National Tournament ... Sims reached double figures in four of the final five contests of the season, helping the Eagles rattle off six straight wins, finish as co-champs of the ICCAC conference and claim the No. 1 seed for the regional tournament ... In back-to-back victories to help claim the conference crown, Sims connected on 14-of-16 shots, including 5-of-6 from three, to combine for 34 points and 10 rebounds to earn Second Team All-Region honors.
