Jordan Holthusen, a junior, is in her first season as a student assistant coach after spending the previous two seasons playing for the Fighting Sioux.

A native of Viking, Minn., Holthusen appeared in 48 games in her two seasons with the Sioux and was a part of back-to-back North Central Conference championship teams, including the 2006-07 squad that advanced to the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Elite Eight Championship. She was named to the NCC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll in each of her two years.

Holthusen, who majors in personal training and entrepreneurship, joined the basketball team after redshirting with UND's volleyball team in 2005-06.

A 2004 graduate of Marshall County Central High School, Holthusen was an all-conference performer in both basketball and volleyball as a prep and scored more than 1,000 career points in basketball. She earned a total of 20 letters in basketball, volleyball, track and field and cheerleading.
