After completing her four-year career, former UND defender Amanda Dahl joins the staff as an assistant coach for the North Dakota women’s soccer program in 2014.

A two-time Big Sky All-Academic Team member and an All-Great West Conference Second Team honoree, Dahl played in a total of 68 games in her career. Dahl also served as a captain for her senior season, during Matt Kellogg’s first year as head coach.

Dahl graduated with her bachelor’s degree in air traffic control from UND in May. She plans on coaching while waiting to get into the Federal Aviation Administration Academy to become an air traffic controller.

UND Soccer Career
2013 (Senior): Named to the Big Sky Fall All-Academic Team ... Was one of only three players to start all 19 games ... Recorded a total of 13 shots. Earned fourth letter. 

2012 (Junior): Named to Big Sky Fall All-Academic Team … Appeared in all 16 games and started 11 … Tallied one goal on the season … Scored UND’s lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Western Illinois (Sept. 16) … Also recorded 11 shots and eight shots on goal on the season … Earned third letter.

2011 (Sophomore): An All-Great West Conference Second Team selection at midfielder … Played in 16 games, making 14 starts … Recorded three assists for three points … Tallied 15 shots and 11 shots on goal … Averaged 0.94 shots per game … Played 1,057 minutes … Earned her second letter.

2010 (Freshman): Played in 17 games, starting one … Recorded two goals for four points … Had one game-winning goal … Scored her first collegiate goal against Houston Baptist (Oct. 24) … Tallied eight shots and six shots on goal … Played 346 minutes … Earned her first letter.
