Jennifer Granstrand returns for her second year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Fighting Sioux soccer program. Granstrand was previously an assistant men's and women's coach at Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wis. from 1998 to 1999.

Granstrand played soccer at Vanderbilt University from 1993-1998, where she captained the Commodores to two Southeastern Conference championships and three appearances in the Round of 16 NCAA National Soccer Tournament.

At Vandy, she was a four-time All-SEC First Team selection, a three-time All-Region First Team selection and a two-time SEC Tournament Team Selection. 

Granstrand also played for the United States Developmental Team in 1996 and 1998 as well as the South Region Under-19 Team in 1992.

She was a four-time All-State First Team Selection and a two-time National Soccer Coaches Association All-American at Franklin High School in Franklin, Tenn.

The 1998 Vanderbilt graduate is married to UND soccer coach Matt Granstrand. Matt and Jennifer have a two-year old son, Owen.
