University of North Dakota Athletics

Higginson graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a major in athletic therapy. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in kinesiology at UND.

During his time at UM, Higginson worked with a club wrestling team, the university's women's basketball team, hockey and soccer teams.

A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, he is a certified athletic therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapists' Association, a certified athletic trainer with the National Athletic Trainers' Association and a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
