Val Prause

Prause begins her first season with North Dakota. She came to UND after a four-year stint at Lake Erie College of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), where she spent her first two years as a graduate assistant coach before being named the Storm’s head coach in 2014.

An accomplished player at Central Michigan University, Prause earned four varsity letters for the Chippewas. She was twice named to the All-Mid-American Conference Team and was an Academic All-MAC selection three times.

A two-year captain, Prause started 67 matches in her career as a midfielder, helping CMU to two MAC regular season championships as well as two league tournament crowns and NCAA tournament appearances.

She served as a student assistant with CMU in the spring of 2011 and has worked with the Cleveland Soccer Academy girls club teams as well as several youth camps across the region.

A native of nearby Mentor, Prause earned her bachelor's degree from CMU in history and social science. She completed her MBA from Lake Erie in 2014. She currently holds a NSCAA National Diploma and NSCAA GK Level 1 Diploma.
