Joe Davidson joins the UND staff with experience after six seasons at Northern Illinois. He also has coached at Elmhurst Univeristy and at the high school level. He enters his tenth season coaching at the college level in 2023.
During his time at Northern Illinois, he coached eight All-MAC players, four All-Freshman team members, 2022 MAC Defensive Player of the Year (Franci Bertucci), a regular season championship in 2015 and a conference championship and NCAA tournament appearance in 2016. He also had 48 different Academic All-MAC selections in his time in DeKalb.
He has also been on staff at Elmhurst University, where he helped guide the team to a 31-9 record. The team was in the top 25 of the NCAA DIII poll all season and made the second round of the NCAA tournament.
In 2017 and 2018, he coached national runner up teams at AAU Championships.
