UND soccer falls to Bemidji State

BEMIDJI, MINN. ? Sophomore forward Danielle Uphoff scored both of Bemidji State's goals to give them a 2-0 win over the Fighting Sioux Wednesday afternoon. The Sioux fall to 2-1-0 overall.

 

After a scoreless first period, Bemidji State freshman Kara Smyth assisted Uphoff in her first goal on the season at 79:34. Less than 10 minutes later, junior midfielder Kelly Hyvare connected with Uphoff for Bemidji's second goal of the day.

 

Despite losing the game, the Sioux produced 13 shots and earned two less fouls than

Bemidji State. In net for UND was sophomore Lauren Sera (Winnipeg, Man.) and Jessica Meath for Bemidji.

  

Next, the Fighting Sioux will play host to Southwest Minnesota State for a 12 p.m. match-up at Bronson Field Saturday, Sept. 1.
