GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota men's and women's basketball team hosted the annual media today, speaking with media member throughout the region.

Both coaches talked about the hard work done by the assistant assembling great first-year transition schedules. UND is in the first year of its transition to NCAA Division I. They also credited athletic director Brian Faison and the adminstrative staff for leading the way into the Great West Conference, which gives postseason honors and championships.

Head women's coach Gene Roebuck said this year will be about assessment. He said UND will get a chance to see how it stacks up and where it needs to be.

Head men's coach Brian Jones said this year's team is true representation of the team concept. Each member of the team will have to rely on each other, as its builds for Division I success.
