AZUSA, Calif.--University of North Dakota senior Heidi Evans ran a personal record time of 2:10.71 in the 800-meter run today at the Azusa Pacific Invitational Track and Field Meet. Evans' time is the third-fastest in UND outdoor history.
The Roseau, Minn., native placed fifth in the race and her time was an NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championship provisional qualifying time.
Evans will now prepare to compete in the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays on Sunday in Walnut, Calif. Evans will race in the 1,500-meter run.
