GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The Memorial Union's Lifetime Sports Center recognized the UND women's volleyball team during its grand re-opening celebration today.

A special ceremony was held to congratulate the women's volleyball team for its Great West Conference regular season and tournament championship. This is the first UND team making the transition to Division I to win a conference title. The photo and plaque of the team and championship banner hang in the new area. The center also has historic photos from the history of UND athletics.

Lifetime Sports Center, in the Union's lower level, recently completed an upgrade to its furnishings and equipment, creating a fresh atmosphere where students can enjoy their free time. The game room features the latest in gaming technology as well as historical photos of the Union in years past. A shuffleboard table was added and new outdoor rental equipment was purchased.
