CHICAGO STATE HEAD COACH ANGELA JACKSON
Angela Jackson is in her eighth season as head coach of the Chicago State women's basketball team and has amassed the most victories of any bench boss in program history. Jackson looks to guide the Green and White towards success in the second year of the Great West Conference after leading the team to posting its sixth season with double-figure wins in 2009-10.
The Cougars posted a 12-19 record last season and finished the first year of Great West play in third place with a 7-5 record. In addition, the Green and White produced a 5-1 mark at home versus conference opponents while Courtney Waldon (first team), Tressa Beckel (honorable mention/All-Newcomer), Natalie Marlowe (honorable mention) and Alyssa Waldon (honorable mention) earned All-Great West Conference recognition at the end of the season.
The Green and White also won the inaugural Great West Conference game on Jan. 9, 2010 when it defeated Utah Valley in Orem, Utah. It was the Cougars' first conference win since the 2005-06 season when it was a member of the Summit League (formerly Mid-Continent Conference).
CSU finished the season ranked fourth among the NCAA Division I leaders in three-point field-goal percentage, while Courtney Waldon was ranked nationally in three-point field-goal percentage for the second year in a row when she placed 11th in the country.
In addition to their accomplishments on the hardwood, the Cougars have also been recognized for their work in the classroom thanks to a multiyear Academic Progress Rate of .962 and have graduated over 91 percent of the players that have suited up for Coach Jackson.
NOTING THE FIGHTING SIOUX (8-12, 4-1 GWC)
Picked to repeat as Great West Conference champions in the 2010-11 preseason coaches poll, the University of North Dakota women's basketball team is in its third year of transition towards NCAA Division I status.
After suffering a 69-53 loss to South Dakota on the road (Feb. 5), the Fighting Sioux bounced back with 67-51 victory over NJIT (Feb. 10) to pick up the first road win of the season.
Freshman center Allyssa Wall (North Sioux City, Iowa) led the way with a career-high 23 points. She has hit double-figures on 14 occasions, including a pair of 20-point games. She currently leads the team in field goal shooting percentage (.552) and blocked shots (48). Wall is second on the team averaging 11.6 ppg.
UND's scoring leader is senior forward Mallory Youngblut (Davenport, Iowa), who is averaging 13.5 ppg and leads the team in free throw shooting percentage (.889). She has also dished out 71 assists and tallied 28 steals. Youngblut ranks 21st on UND's all-time scoring list.
Beyond the three-point line, sophomore Carly Rothfusz (Eden Prairie, Minn.) leads the team with a .435 (10-for-23) shooting percentage.
Senior forward Corey Lof (Detroit Lakes, Minn.) tops the team averaging 5.4 rpg. She racked up 11 boards on Thursday against NJIT. She is the team steal leader with 38.

The Fighting Sioux are averaging 64.7 ppg while giving up 68.5. When it comes to conference games only, the Sioux are out-scoring opponents 72-57.
ON A NATIONAL SCALE
Due to their reclassification status, the Fighting Sioux do not count in the national team and individual rankings. However, if they did, they'd be ranked top 40 in a three of categories.
The Sioux currently lead all reclassifying schools and would be tied with Baylor nationally at No. 16 in free throw percentage (.756) and tied with Dayton at No. 14 in three-point percentage (.372). The Sioux would also be ranked 36th in assists per game (15.7).
Freshman center Allyssa Wall (North Sioux City, S.D.) would be listed No. 34 in blocked shots (2.3 bpg). Senior forward Mallory Youngblut (Davenport, Iowa) would be listed No. 20 with a .424 three-point shooting percentage.
RECORD REWIND
The University of North Dakota women's basketball program holds a 777-294 (.725) record all-time since the first game was played in 1974. Under head coach Gene Roebuck, UND is 601-130 (.822).
