SHREVEPORT, La. -- The Fighting Sioux men's golf team shot its lowest round of the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate today, shooting a 307 in the tournament's third and final round to place seventh.
UND's top individual performer today was freshman Sean Halverson (Brainerd, Minn.), who carded a team-best 76 during the final round. Halverson tied for 25th with a two-day, three-round 235 (79-8-76).
Junior Tyler Monda was the top finisher for the Sioux, tying for 13th with a 225 (71-77-77). Monda was one of four Sioux to card a 77 or better today.
Stephen F. Austin State took first place with an 870.
Gregory Berthelot of Centenary captured medalist honors with a 213 (73-73-67).
UND returns to action May 2-4 at the America Sky Conference Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz.
