GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Ben Blood. One part bruising defenseman. One part upperclassman teacher. All comedy.
Blood, the 6-foot-4 junior, took to the microphone at today's weekly media day for the University of North Dakota hockey team and had the group of regional media laughing behind the camera.
Blood was asked to describe his first thoughts when he saw freshman Derek Forbort last summer. The two have paired to become one of UND's top defensive units.
"Why is this guy in the locker room?" Blood joked of Forbort. "He should be in the gym."
Blood, senior Jake Marto, sophomore Corban Knight, junior Jason Gregoire, sophomore Danny Kristo and head coach Dave Hakstol made trips to the microphone. Watch the videos under the Related Links area.
