RESULTS
Des Moines, Iowa -- Senior Jacob Dehne wrapped up North Dakota's fall schedule with the best 54-hole score of his UND career at the Zach Johnson Invitational. Dehne shot his second 73 (+2) of the tournament in Tuesday's final round to finish with a 220 (+7), tying him for 10th in the 54-player field.
Dehne's effort was one shot better than his season-opening 221 (+5) at the UNO Invitational. He had one birdie to go with three bogeys on his card today. UND (909; +57) finished eighth in the team standings after shooting a 305 (+21) on Tuesday. The team opened the tournament with a season-best 297 (+13).
Classmate and fellow captain Aaron Pulanco tied for 25th with a 54-hole total of 229 (+16). He shot a 77 (+6) in his final round, while sophomore transfer Jack McClintock was three strokes behind Pulanco with a 232 (+19). McClintock used a 76 (+5) in his final loop around the Glen Oaks Country Club to tie for 32nd.
Northern Iowa (874; +22) held onto its lead in the final 18 holes, posting a 288 (+4) to win the team title by seven strokes over Bradley (881; +29). The Braves' Drake Bushong won medalist honors thanks to his second sub-par round of the tournament on Tuesday. He fired a 70 (-1) to finish three shots clear of the Panthers' Eric Sikkema.
UND is off the for the remainder of the fall season and will return to action with its spring-opener at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational in February.
