ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Senior
Amanda Fairweather continued her consistent play to open the spring season, posting a 157 (+13) total in the opening two rounds of the Sacramento State Invitational. Fairweather is tied for 15th in the individual standings, while UND (647; +71) rounded out the five-team field, which includes four Big Sky teams.
Junior
Sadie Martin is 22nd overall after going 80-81 in her opening two rounds, while sophomore
Alexis Guggisberg (164; +20) and senior
Mikki Kromy (165; +21) rounded out the UND scorers on day one.
Kromy is making her spring debut and had two birdies in her final round of the day as she improved five strokes from her opening 18 holes. Junior
Olivia Knutson and sophomore
Haily Abel, who is playing as an individual for UND, each posted 36-hole totals of 169 (+25).
Host Sacramento State had the best two rounds of the day to build a 14-stroke cushion in the team standings on Montana (613; +33). Northern Colorado is the fourth Big Sky program in the field. The Bears are fourth and 16 strokes ahead of the Green and White.
The teams will conclude the 54-hole tournament on Tuesday.
