Jonesboro, Ark. -- On a day where scores were moving up due to tough conditions at the Red Wolves Intercollegiate, the North Dakota men's golf team played steady and put together the ninth-best team score after entering play in 14th.
The Fighting Hawks' 310 (+26) on the final day moved them up two spots in the team standings to 12th, while host Arkansas State allowed UT-Martin to catch them at the top to share the team title after holding a six-shot lead to open the final round at the RidgePoint Country Club.
The Red Wolves and Skyhawks both finished with even-par totals of 852, which was 19 strokes better than Belmont, who took third place.
UND sophomore Jack McClintock carded a 75 (+4) in his final round to pace the Fighting Hawks. Only 14 golfers in the 81-player field turned in a better score in third-round play. He tied for 47th with a 228 (+15) total, while senior Jacob Dehne was the top UND golfer, tying for 17th after shooting a 76 (+5) in his final round to post a 220 (+7).
Grand Forks native Brady Ohman turned in a three rounds in the 70's in Arkansas, finishing with a 79 to card a career-best, 54-hole total of 234 (+21).
The Big Sky Championship is next up for the Fighting Hawks and the 54-hole event is set for April 30-May 2 in Henderson, Nev.
