SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- History is currently being made for the University of North Dakota men's basketball team. The Fighting Hawks traveled here today, as they ready for their first NCAA Division I Tournament game in school history.
UND practiced in Grand Forks before making the flight. It will practice tomorrow morning, before visiting the Vivent Smart Home Arena tomorrow for a shootaround, interviews and more in preparation for Thursday's showdown versus Arizona.
Today's trip started with a little UND love. The pilot for UND's flight was Kyle Scott, an alum of the school's prestigous aerospace school.
The team arrived at the hotel, ate a team meal and will be up early to continue their history-making trip.
