Leading Off
After capturing a huge series win over South Dakota State, the University of North Dakota softball team heads to Fargo for its regular season finale at North Dakota State.

The two teams will square off in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon starting at noon before closing out the weekend on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. from Fargo.

It was a quick, three-game homecoming to Apollo Sports Complex for UND as the Fighting Hawks have played every contest but their most recent three on the road, at a neutral site, or at the Alerus Center so far this season. By the time it was all said and done, the green and white played 49 consecutive games away from its home field, the longest streak in the NCAA.

Series Histories
North Dakota State - NDSU leads 70-33

» The two teams will square off for the first time as conference foes in the Division I era, as UND will look to close the gap in the series against the Bison.

Head Coach Jordan Stevens is actually unbeaten vs. the Bison in Fargo, claiming a 4-1 victory on Apr. 13, 2016 in the last showdown between the two foes in the state's largest city. That victory was the first for UND over NDSU since a 10-2 victory on Apr. 28, 1996. This will also mark the first conference meeting between the schools since Apr. 21, 2004, when both were Divsion II progams in the North Central Conference (NCC).
