GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota softball team returns home for a matchup with the Crown College Polars on Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. from Albrecht Field. Coverage can be found on the Summit League Network. It is the first career meeting between the two squads.
The Hawks come into this game with a 23-16 record, dropping two-of-three contests this past weekend to Kansas City on the road. UND won its lone game on Saturday by a score of 8-0 in six innings.
Tegan Livesay pitched games two and three in the series, tossing two complete games and a total of 11.2 innings. She threw her second complete game shutout of the season on Saturday against the Roos.
Scouting the Opposition
Crown owns an 18-12 record overall with a 5-7 record in the UMAC, riding a three-game winning streak. The Polars swept North Central University this past weekend, but own a 1-4 record on the road this season.
The Polars are led by Maria Lilenthal who is hitting .518 with three home runs and 41 RBIs. They are hitting .346 as a team, but own a 6.05 team ERA on the season.
