LAST TIME OUT
UND collected goals from players on all four lines and clamped down with outstanding goaltending from Adam Scheel (18 saves) and tight defensive play en route to a 4-1 win over Omaha to salvage a series split Saturday at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.

SERIES HISTORY
North Dakota owns a 16-7-3 edge in the all-time series with Miami. Last season, UND split in Miami in the only series with the RedHawks and this year UND already has a pair of wins after a Nov. 8-9 sweep in Grand Forks.

STILL NO. 1
UND  has now spent an entire month (since Dec. 9) atop the USCHO.com poll after Monday's release has it tied atop the rankings with Cornell. North Dakota slipped to No. 2 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls. North Dakota began the season at No. 18/RV. UND's No. 1 ranking was its first since Oct. 17, 2016.

THREE IN THE TOP 8
Three of the eight NCHC teams are ranked in the top eight in this week's USCHO.com poll. UND tops the poll for the fourth straight week with Denver moving up to No. 4. Minnesota Duluth is now eighth while  Western Michigan is receiving votes.

ROAD RECORD
North Dakota brings a five-game road winning streak into this weekend. UND is 5-1-2 on the road this season, already matching last season's road win total (5) and its five-game road winning streak is its longest since 2016-17.

ROAD RAGE
North Dakota holds a 30-12 edge in the first period this season on its opponents. UND is out-scoring its opponent, 11-3, in the first period of road games this season.

SHOTS ON... WHOA
North Dakota's defense has allowed just 60 shots on goal in the last four games combined. UND has kept its opponent under 15 SOG seven times this season (6-1-0).

REA-LLY
Junior Hobey Baker Award hopeful Jordan Kawaguchi has been fantastic at the Ralph Engelstad Arena this season, tallying 23 total points in 13 games at home. He has seven goals and 16 assists with points in 12 straight home games.

TWICE IS NICE
Mismash's two-goal effort marked the eighth different UND player to score two goals in a game this season. Three players have turned the trick twice: Kawaguchi (Pinto, Smith, Kawaguchi).

MARKSMAN
Mark Senden scored his first goal since Oct. 26 against Bemidji State with his first-period tally Friday. He added another goal and an assist Saturday for a three-point weekend. He had tallied just two assists in the 13 games during his goal-less drought.

20/20 VISION
Grant Mismash's goal Friday against Omaha was the 20th of his career. He's the third active Fighting Hawk to reach that plateau, tied with Cole Smith and five behind active career leader Jordan Kawaguchi with 25. (Westin Michaud has 37 career goals, eight with UND and 29 in three seasons at Colorado College.

NO, NO. WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER
UND has enjoyed having scoring production from the entire roster. After Casey Johnson's goal Saturday vs. Omaha, 22 different players have scored this season, most since the 2003-04 team. 17 have multiple tallies and eight different players have at least a half-dozen goals on the year.

0-FOR-2020
The UND penalty kill ranks 4th in the country at .914. North Dakota is perfect in the new year, killing all 10 penalties, including a five-minute major in Saturday's win vs. Omaha.

You surprised to see us, Clark?
So far this season, six different UND players have piled up 12 NCHC weekly award mentions but none were preseason all-conference selections. North Dakota's Jordan Kawaguchi and Adam Scheel were bestowed with NCHC monthly awards for November. Kawaguchi (6g, 10a) was the player of the month while Scheel (8-0-1, 1.75 GAA, .918 save pct.) was the league's goalie of the month. Each have also racked up three conference weekly awards already this season.

WISH GRANTED
Grant Mismash scored a pair of goals in the Jan. 3rd 5-2 win over Alabama-Huntsville, including the game winner midway through the second period. It marked his second two-goal game of his career.

THOME TIME
Junior goaltender Peter Thome got his first regular-season action of the season Jan. 10 vs. Omaha, stopping all three shots he saw in a period and a half. He previously had two scoreless periods in the exhibition win at the U.S. Under 18 Team.

KAWAHOBEY UPDATE
Jordan Kawaguchi continues to pile up points, collecting points in each game last week to give him 30 on the season, already surpassing last year's team-leading total.

ADAMS' APPLES
Collin Adams notched three assists in the Jan. 3 win over Alabama-Huntsville, tying his single-game record for helpers. He now has 19 points on the season, more than double his previous career best (8 in 2017-18).

TWENTY in 2020
Cole Smith added an empty net goal in the Jn. 4 win for his career-high seventh of the season. It marked his 20th career goal.

FEARSOME FOURSOME
North Dakota has already scored four goals in a game 13 times this season, going 12-0-1 in those contests. UND has eight 5-goal outputs this season, all wins (8-0-0).
