QUICK JUMPERS
*The University of North Dakota is coming off of its third overtime game of the season, tying for the most in a single season in UND history (2016-17).
*All of Olivia Lane's 29 points last weekend occurred in the second half or overtime against North Dakota State.
*During their 18-point comeback attempt versus the Bison, the Fighting Hawks scored a season-high 15 fast-break points.

After hosting rival North Dakota State in a black and blue series with the green and gold, the University of North Dakota will head to South Dakota State for a series with The Summit League-leading Jackrabbits at Frost Arena. The Jan. 22 and 23 contests will tipoff at 5 p.m. Central on MidcoSN2, 100.3 FM The Fan in Grand Forks, and 740 AM The Fan in Fargo.

WELCOME TO UND, ERIKA LANE
On Wednesday morning, UND women's basketball announced the addition of Erika Lane to the program as a midyear enrollee. Lane, sister of current Fighting Hawk sophomore Olivia Lane, began practicing with the team on Monday and will be eligible to play on Friday at South Dakota State. Erika was named The Brainard Dispatch's All-Area team as a junior in 2020 after averaging 10.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. Olivia and Erika will be reunited as teammates for the first time since 2018-19 at Pequot Lakes High School. Erika will don No. 21.

SCOUTING THE JACKRABBITS
With an 11-2 record, including a 4-0 mark in Summit League play, South Dakota State is atop The Summit League standings entering the fourth week of League play. The Jackrabbits went 3-0 versus top-25 teams in the preseason, defeating No. 15 Iowa State, No. 18 Gonzaga, and No. 20 Missouri State. As a result, SDSU ranks among the top teams receiving votes in the AP and USA Today Coaches polls. The Jacks allowed an average of 52 points per game last weekend at Omaha and have averaged 71 points per game offensively in Summit League games. Graduate transfer Myah Selland has been one of the top players in The Summit League this season, earning Summit League Player of the Week four times this year. Selland leads the Jacks in points (19.2), rebounds (7.5), and assists (4.3). However, SDSU has four scorers averaging 10-or-more points per game, with Paiton Burckhard (12.2), Tylee Irwin (10.8), and Tori Nelson (10.0) also scoring in double figures.

The University of North Dakota will return home on Jan. 29 and Jan. 30 to close out the month versus Western Illinois at The Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. The Fighting Hawks and Leathernecks will tipoff at 5 p.m. Central on MidcoSN2.
