Fresh off a trip to freshly minted No. 25 South Dakota State, the University of North Dakota will return to Grand Forks this weekend and host Western Illinois. Friday and Saturday nights games will tip at 5 p.m. Central on MidcoSN2, while the pregame radio show with Jack Michaels will begin at 4:30 p.m. on 100.3 FM in Grand Forks and 740 AM in Fargo.

SCOUTING THE LEATHERNECKS
Western Illinois enters the weekend with a 3-13 record this season and a 2-6 record in Summit League games this season. The Leathernecks split their series' with North Dakota State and Kansas City but were swept by South Dakota State and South Dakota. The Coyotes narrowly survived in Macomb last time out as WIU led until USD scored a go-ahead bucket with 47 seconds left and iced the game at the free-throw line, 61-56. The Leathernecks have a trio of players averaging 11 points per game, led by Evan Zars' 11.8 average per game. Zars is The Summit League's leader on the glass, with 8.8 boards per game. Grace Gilmore is averaging 11.6 points per game and is the leading free-throw shooter in The League, while Danni Nichols is averaging 11.2 points per game in support.
