DES MOINES, Iowa -- Battling a power opponent for the second consecutive day, the University of North Dakota women's tennis team fell to Iowa State, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon from Des Moines, Iowa.
UND (0-3) battled to the end against the Cyclones, but could not muster any victories in singles or doubles action. The Fighting Hawks had some strong showings from Sepir Sela and
Nina Zdravkovic, who each took their matches to a 6-4 score on the third and fifth courts, respectively. Sela also teamed up with
Kaede Amano on the No. 2 doubles court, falling in a 6-3 contest in the tightest match of two-person play.
North Dakota will look to rebound against another tough opponent, Drake, on Sunday at 11 a.m.
