GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota Athletics announced the addition of Abilene Christian to the 2022 football schedule on Thursday.  
 
The contest, scheduled for Oct. 29 in Grand Forks, will replace the previously scheduled home game with Dixie State on the same date.  
 
"We look forward to playing Abilene Christian in a cross-sectional non-conference FCS game in Grand Forks, said North Dakota Director of Athletics Bill Chaves. "I appreciate what the Western Athletic Conference and ACU were able to do in navigating this game alteration." 
 
This will be the first all-time meeting between the Wildcats and Fighting Hawks; however, UND is 10-6 in its history against opponents from the WAC.  
 
The schedule rounds out a home slate consisting of five games at the Alerus Center, including four coming against opponents who reached the FCS playoffs in 2021. Ticket information, times and promotions will be released at a later date.
