UND Drops Match Against NDSU 2-0

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The University of North Dakota soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to North Dakota State. 

The Fighting Hawks Sunday afternoon as the two teams tried to get on the board first. The game was scoreless until the tenth minute when North Dakota State scored to make it 1-0 heading into the half. UND kept attacking NDSU as they sought the tying tally. A foul inside the North Dakota box gave North Dakota State a penalty shot in the 60th minute give them the 2-0 victory. 

UND was out shot by NDSU in the first half as they only had two shots compared to their four. The Fighting Hawks earned two corners in the first half while the Bison had four.

As they sought their first goal, North Dakota added ten shots to their total and four corner kicks. North Dakota State matched the host with ten shots in the second half but were only awarded two corners. 

Both teams played a physical match as the end saw 17 combined fouls. There were two yellow cards in the match as each team earned one.
