GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota soccer team defeated St. Thomas 1-0 on Sunday afternoon from Bronson Field in Grand Forks, N.D.
Hannah Olson scored the game-winning goal in the 27
th minute while Madi Livingston turned away six shots fired her way to help the Fighting Hawks earn the victory (1-0).
UND had offensive attempts early as they finished the first half with 11 shots, five corner kicks and a goal, while UST had three shots and one corner.
The Tommies armped up the shots in the second half as they had 12 shots and four corners in pursuit of the game-tying tally. The Fighting Hawks tried to add some insurance, but they only fired one shot on goal in the second half.
Both sides ramped up the physical play in the sloppy conditions, with the contest seeing a combined 22 fouls. A singular yellow card were awarded to North Dakota.

- The Fighting Hawks move to 6-5-3 on the season. This win places UND tied for second in the Summit League.
- Hannah Olson scored the game-winning tally in the match. This marks her third goal this season and her second of the weekend and second game-winner of the season.
