TULSA, Okla. – North Dakota soccer fought hard in a tough game but fell to Oral Roberts 1-0 on Friday evening from Tulsa.
The Fighting Hawks fought hard against the Golden Eagles, but the first half saw neither team break through as they sought the first tally. The tussle for the lead continued in the second half, but it was the host who tallied the lone goal of the game in the 85
th minute to take the 1-0 victory.
North Dakota was outshot by Oral Roberts in the first half. The Fighting Hawks took four shots while the Golden Eagles took 12 in search of the first goal. Throughout the first half there were four corners awarded with one being to UND and three to ORU. The teams matched each other with three saves to head into halftime 0-0.
As both teams sought the first goal, the Golden Eagles peppered the Fighting Hawks with 13 shots in the second half. UND had only four shots to end the match with eight and five on net. North Dakota had all five corner kicks in the second half.
Madi Livingston added three more saves while ORU added two to end the match and earn the shutout.
It was a physical game with both teams earning double-digits in the game for a total of 29. Two yellow cards were awarded in the match as each team had one.

- North Dakota moves to 6-6-3 on the season and 2-2-1 in the conference season.
- Oral Robert's Julia Thasaphong scored the game-winning goal of the match
- The loss dropped North Dakota to fifth in the Summit League standings as they head to Kansas City to face the Roos. Prior to this match, UND sat third in the standings.
- Oral Roberts tied the all-time series with the victory. It is now 2-2.
- UND finished with an 25-8 shot disadvantage. Although they ended with this disadvantage, they were only two away from ORU who held the shots on goal advantage at 7-5.
