GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota soccer team returns to the postseason for the first time since 2019 for a showdown against Omaha on Friday night in the Summit League Quarterfinals from Brookings, S.D.

Friday marks the 28th all-time meeting between North Dakota and Omaha, with the Mavericks holding an 18-5-2 advantage.
In the earlier meeting this season, the teams played to a 0-0 tie in Omaha.
The two teams have only met once on a neutral field, coming in the 2003 NCC Tournament, when the Fighting Sioux took down the Mavericks by a 2-1 score.
UND and Omaha have met four times in the postseason, with Omaha holding a 3-1-0 mark.
