Trio of Fighting Hawks named to All-Summit League Teams

| By:
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- A trio of North Dakota soccer players were honored on Thursday with selections to the 2022 All-Summit League Teams, as announced by league officials.

Forward Hannah Olson and goalkeeper Madi Livingston were named to the All-Summit League Second Team while midfielder Sarah McCracken was selected to the All-Newcomer Team.

Olson paced the attack for the Fighting Hawks, leading the team with three goals and an assist to finish with seven points. The redshirt senior struck in back-to-back games against Western Illinois and St. Thomas to help UND to a pair of 1-0 victories and earn the league's weekly honor for her play.

Livingston has been a rock in the net for North Dakota this season, etching her name across the record books. The senior notched her seventh shutout of the season in the 1-0 win over South Dakota on Sunday to help the Fighting Hawks clinch a spot in the Summit League Championships. The clean sheet tied her with three others for the program record for shutouts in a single season. Livingston is second in the Summit League and 19th in the nation with 92 total saves while her 4.84 saves per game is fourth in the conference. Overall, Livingston ranks third in the league with an .807 save percentage, but elevated that to an .842 mark in league games.

McCracken welcomed herself to collegiate soccer, taking on huge minutes down the stretch in the midfield for the Hawks. The rookie played nearly every minute of league play for UND and notched an assist on Olson's game-winning goal against Western Illinois. In non-conference play, McCracken scored her first-collegiate goal against Minnesota before adding her second in the win over UAPB.

No. 6 seed North Dakota will battle third-seeded Omaha on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Summit League Quarterfinals in Brookings, S.D., with the winner taking on No. 2 seed South Dakota State on Sunday afternoon in the semifinals.
