UND, KC play to 1-1 draw

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The University of North Dakota soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Kansas City on Sunday afternoon at Durwood Soccer Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. 

The Fighting Hawks posted yet another result in league play, moving into a tie for fourth place in the Summit League standings with eight points and a 2-2-2 record. UND is two points clear of North Dakota State in seventh place, who would be the first side out of the six-team postseason. 

After a scoreless opening half, North Dakota jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Mary Gasaway found Lexi Miller for her first goal of the season in the 58th minute. The visitors held strong until the 86th minute when Madison Page deposited home a rebound to bring the match level. 

Madi Livingston was sharp again in goal for NoDak, turning aside five shots. 

North Dakota returns home for a crucial match next Sunday against North Dakota State at 1 p.m. from Bronson Field. Fans can watch the game on Midco Sports and the Midco Sports Plus app.
