GRAND FORKS, N.D. - North Dakota will play its final home matches of the 2022 season this week. On Thursday, the Fighting Hawks will host the Pioneers of Denver at 7 p.m. UND will then play Omaha in the final home match of the regular season at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
The match against Denver will air on Midco Sports, while the game against Omaha will be carried on Midco Sports Plus.

- Last week, North Dakota fell in two five-set matches. UND took lead-leading USD to the brink on Tuesday night inside the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, but ultimately fell, 3-2. The Fighting Hawks hosted the Bison on Saturday, which also went five sets and dropped the 3-2 decision.
- The Fighting Hawks have now played in four consecutive five-set matches.
- North Dakota has 12 wins on the season, matching the win total from 2019. If the Hawks win both games this week, they will have 14 wins - the most since going 14-18 in 2018.
- Setter Elizabeth Norris leads the conference and is No. 2 nationally in triple-doubles this season with six. She trails only Josi Borum of Youngstown State, who has 10 triple-doubles.
- Norris paces the team this year with 465 assists, is second in kills with 220 and third on the team in total digs with 226.Â
- Kortney Carney is No. 4 in the Summit League in total digs with 373, averaging 3.85 digs per set. Carney is third on the team in total assists with 154.Â
- Defensively, Maddy Hornyak is second on the team with 247 digs (2.60 digs per set). She has also put down a team leading 26 service aces.
- Marissa Stockman averages 1.03 blocks per set and has 94 total blocks on the season. Both those marks come in at No. 7 in the conference.
- UND has five of the top-35 players in the Summit League in kills per set. Ashlyn Olson paces the team and is No. 16 with 2.51 kills per set, followed by Norris at No. 20 with 2.34 K's/set. Sierra Ward comes in at No. 25 with her 2.01 terminations per set, trailed by Stockman as the No. 30 attacker in the league with 1.81 kills each set. Paige Barber rounds out the top five Hawks in that category with 1.51 kills/set.
- Olson is the top attacker for UND this season with 223 total kills. Maddie Lipetzky has the best hitting percentage on the team, hitting a .280, with 68 K's on 175 swings.
- Last week, Norris was the top player offensively for UND, helping the Fighting Hawks go the distance against South Dakota and North Dakota State. Against USD, Norris had 13 kills, 30 assists, 13 digs and five blocking assists for her fifth triple-double of the year. Four days later, Norris had a team-high 12 kills to go with 19 assists, 12 digs and two blocking assists against NDSU for her sixth triple-double of the season.
- Carney led the team last week defensively against USD and NDSU. She had 52 digs on the weekend, averaging 5.2 digs per set, including a career-high 33 digs (6.6 digs per set) against South Dakota. Carney also contributed eight assists and two service aces last week.
