UND falls, 5-2, to Bradley

ORLANDO -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Bradley on Thursday morning from Orlando.

UND (8-9), who had its match on Wednesday rained out, got off to a strong start in doubles play to take a 1-0 lead. Sapir Sela and Andrea Jansson notched a 6-3 victory from the top court before Bradley answered back with a win at the second position to turn all eyes to the No. 3 court.

There, Nore Heinitz and Charlotte Bowles sealed the point with a 6-4 triumph.

The Fighting Hawks stretched the lead to 2-0 following a win by default on the No. 6 court in singles, but the Braves struck back.

A pair of tight, two-set wins knotted the match at 2-2 before Bradley clawed out three straight victories in three sets to complete the comeback victory.

North Dakota returns to conference play on Saturday afternoon against Western Illinois in Macomb.
