NEWTON, Kan. – After the second round of the Summit League Championships, the University of North Dakota men's golf team remains ninth.
Brandon McGarry took the lead on the second day for the Fighting Hawks. He ended the second round with a 75 (+3) to sit at an overall score of 150 (+6). McGarry currently sits tied for 29th headed into the third round.
The conditions at Sand Creek Station were still windy and rainy as North Dakota continued to fight in the leader board.
Zach Hinschberger followed McGarry with a 78 (+6) on his second round. He currently sits at a 151 (+7) as he heads into the third and final round placed tied for 32nd.
Alex Skarperud followed closely behind with a 76 (+4) in the second round and a 152 (+8) overall. Greyson Wetch carded an 82 (+10) in the second round, and
Lucas Feterl ended with an 80 (+8).
The tournament will resume at 8 AM with North Dakota having their first golfer tee off at 8 AM.
