GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota soccer team unveils its full schedule on Tuesday, July 26, featuring one exhibition and 19 regular season games. Nine of those contests will be held at Bronson Field.
The Fighting Hawks open the season with an exhibition game as they welcome Manitoba to Grand Forks on Sunday, Aug. 7 at 1 p.m. The regular season begins on Thursday, Aug. 18 against Division I newcomer Southern Indiana from Bronson Field at 1 p.m. The home stand concludes on Saturday, Aug. 20 against Jamestown at 1 p.m.
UND hits the road for the first time to face former Big Sky Conference rival Northern Colorado on Aug. 25 for the first of three straight away from home. Just a few days later, North Dakota will battle Wyoming on Aug. 28 for the first time in program history before a showdown with BIG EAST foe Creighton on Sept. 1 in Omaha.
The Hawks return to Bronson Field for Senior Day against Minnesota on Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. This marks the first trip to Grand Forks for the Golden Gophers in program history. Another set of former BSC foes await on the road, with UND taking on Eastern Washington on Sept. 9 and Portland State on Sept. 11. NoDak closes out nonconference play at Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 16 and UAPB on Sept. 18.
League play begins on the road with a match against Omaha on Sept. 23 and the three-time defending regular season champion Denver on Sept. 25. North Dakota then returns home to welcome Western Illinois on Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. and St. Thomas on Oct. 2 at 1 p.m.
UND wraps up the road schedule with matchups against Oral Roberts on Oct. 7 and Kansas City on Oct. 9.
A trio of rivalries at home rounds out the regular season for the Hawks, beginning with in-state foe North Dakota State on Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. Back-to-back tournament winners South Dakota State make a trip to Grand Forks on Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. before the Hawks aim to extend their program record number of wins to 14 over South Dakota at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23 from Bronson Field.
The Summit League Championship expands to a six-team event in 2022 and takes place over the course of two weekends. The quarterfinals and semifinals take place Oct. 28-30, and the championship match takes place Saturday, Nov. 5. The locations are based on seeding with the top two seeds hosting two games on the opening weekend and the highest-remaining seed hosting the title game.
