Livingston and Olson Named Players to Watch

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of North Dakota's senior goalkeeper Madi Livingston and redshirt senior Hannah Olson were named to the Summit League's Players to Watch list as announced by the league in the Preseason Coaches' Poll on Tuesday, Aug. 16.

The Fighting Hawks were picked to finish tenth in the preseason coaches' poll as they continue to build on last season with a young squad. North Dakota received 14 points in the poll while Denver earned the most points (78) including six first place votes.

Livingston, a Centennial Colo. product, started and played in 16 games in 2021, logging 1,382:50 minutes. During the season, she recorded two shutouts and three wins. Livingston posted a 1.69 goals against average and 69 saves for a .726 save percentage.

A native of West Des Moines, Iowa, Olson appeared in 17 games with 12 starts and ended last season sitting seventh in the League in shots with a total of 35 for an average of 2.50 per game. She sat second on the team for the Fighting Hawks in points with nine (four goals, one assist) during her 1,078 minutes of play.

UND opens the regular season on Thursday, Aug. 18 against Division I newcomer Southern Indiana. The match will be streamed on Midco Sports Plus.
