UND Heads to Creighton and Returns for Minnesota

The North Dakota soccer team starts their week on the road as they head to Omaha, Neb. to face the Creighton Bluejays on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6:30 p.m. (CT). After the match in Omaha, the Fighting Hawks return to Grand Forks to host senior day against the Minnesota Gophers. The match-up is scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. The game against Creighton will be broadcast on FloSports while the game against the Gophers will be on Midco Sports. Fans also can follow the action live via Twitter (@UNDsoccer) or via live stats on the pages of both institutions.

The stint at home will be short-lived as the Fighting Hawks continue the road trip after playing the Gophers at Bronson Field. North Dakota will fly west to play two old Big Sky foes starting with Eastern Washington on Fri., Sept. 9 at 5 p.m. (CT) and then heading to face Portland State on Sun., Sept. 11 at 1:05 p.m. (CT).

Mary Gasaway scored the lone goal of the match against Wyoming. The goal was off of a flip throw by Gasaway and tied the game (1-1). It was her first as a Fighting Hawk.

Madi Livingston finished the weekend with 12 saves. She had six saves in both matches this past weekend.

• North Dakota continues to attack the opposition. They ended the weekend with 22 shots on goal. Eight of the shots were on goal as they fought the Bears and Cowgirls.

• North Dakota suffered their first loss of the season to Northern Colorado (4-0) and their first tie with Wyoming (1-1).

Hannah Olson were named Players to Watch in the 2022 Preaseason Coaches' Poll. Livingston posted a 1.69 goals against average and 69 saves for a .726 save percentage in 2021.Olson ended last season sitting seventh in the League in shots with a total of 35 for an average of 2.50 per game. She sat second on the team for the Fighting Hawks in points with nine (four goals, one assist) during her 1,078 minutes of play.
