UND Earns a 2-0 Win Against UAPB

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The University of North Dakota soccer ended the non-conference slate with a 2-0 victory over Arkansas – Pine Bluff on Sunday morning.

The Fighting Hawks were led by Payton Schultz who scored the first goal of her career in the 41st minute. McCracken added a second goal in the 70th minute to seal the victory for North Dakota. Madi Livingston secured the shutout for UND with four saves.

UND attacked UAPB early as they ended the first half with six corner kicks, six shots and a goal. The defense only gave the Lions one corner and held them to three shots.  

The Fighting Hawks continued to hit the Lions with shots in the second half as they added five more and a goal to end the game with 11 shots. UAPB continued to seek the game-tying goal with eight shots and two corners, but the North Dakota defense locked them down.

The teams each had four fouls to end with a combined eight in the match. Neither team was given a yellow card.
