NOTES: Fighting Hawks Host Jackrabbits, Travel to Tommies This Week

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota volleyball team will have a split week this week, hosting the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Thursday night at the Betty and then traveling to St. Paul to take on the St. Thomas Tommies on Saturday. The Thursday showdown is a crucial one in the race for the sixth seed in the Summit League tournament, with the Jackrabbits (4-6) one game ahead of the Fighting Hawks (3-7) in Summit League matches.

Quick Hits

* Marissa Stockman remains the leader in hitting percentage in Summit League matches at .396, and fourth overall at .329. She ranks eighth in the Summit League with .96 blocks per set, leading the team with 66 total blocks.

* Paige Barber set a new career high with 18 kills in the loss to Denver on Thursday. Over the three matches she led the team with 32 kills and hit an even .200 with 2.91 kills per set. She leads the team with 208 kills on the season and 2.6 per set.

* Lauren Perugini led the team in digs last week with 41, and also notched four blocks. She set a best for her young career with 23 digs against Denver. She also assisted on four blocks. She also picked up 19 kills and an ace last week.

* Kaycee O'Dell led the Fighting Hawks with a .309 hitting percentage last week and led the team with nine kills in the win over Oral Roberts. She also tied with Stockman for the team lead with nine total blocks.

 * Elizabeth Norris set new career bests with 32 assists and four aces against Denver on Thursday. She has now taken the team lead with 24 aces. She is also one of six players in the nation with three or more triple-doubles. She enters action this week needing two blocks to reach 100 for her career.
