Men's tennis adds Andrew Hayduke II to signing class

| By:
GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- University of North Dakota head tennis coach Tom Boysen announced on Wednesday that Andrew [Drew] Hayduke II has signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) as a member of the 2023-24 men's tennis signing class.

"From every aspect, Drew checks all of the boxes that we look for in a recruit when we think about pushing our program forward," said Boysen. "He has had great results as a junior tennis player on a national level, he is an outstanding student in the classroom and he possesses the type of character traits that UND deserves in its student-athletes. What makes it especially exciting in Drew's case is that I believe he is only scratching the surface at this point. We are thrilled to be bringing a player and person such as Drew to Grand Forks next fall."

Hayduke II is one of the top youth players in the United States, ranking among the top-100 for his age group by the United States Tennis Association (UTSA) beginning in 2022. The Rancho Mirage, Calif., native has competed at multiple major tournaments, including the Easter Bowl at Indian Wells Tennis Garden in his home state.

"I felt that UND was the only school that truly offered the complete package both from a tennis standpoint and academically," said Hayduke II. "The leadership of UND's tennis team is top notch, and academically UND is strong in the field I want to pursue. I'm excited and confident that I can grow as a tennis player, contribute to an excellent, well-resourced competitive tennis team and pursue my academic goals in Health Sciences at UND."

Hayduke II is currently ranked as a five-star recruit by the Tennis Recruiting Network and currently sits among the top-60 American players for his age.
