MOSCOW, Idaho -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team fell, 5-2, to Idaho on Saturday afternoon from the Kibbie Dome in Moscow, Idaho in the second of three matches on the weekend against Big Sky Conference opponents.
The Vandals grabbed a 1-0 lead in doubles play with a pair of 6-3 wins on the No. 2 and 3 courts, but
Andrea Jansson and
Sapir Sela notched a 7-5 victory from the top spot.
Sela kept her strong play going into singles action, rallying from a 7-5 defeat in the opening set with 6-1, 6-4 scores over the final two frames to notch a singles point for North Dakota at the No. 2 position.
Jule Schulte had the second point of the afternoon for the visitors, picking up a 6-3, 6-1 from the fifth spot, but the Vandals four singles wins to take the match by a 5-2 score.
North Dakota closes out the weekend against Eastern Washington at noon from Cheney, Wash.
