SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Redshirt freshman forward
Evelyn Pazienza was selected as the Summit League Women's Soccer Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Pazienza scored goals in back-to-back matches on the weekend to help UND finish with a 1-1 record. The Pewee Valley, Ky., native and the Fighting Hawks opened its weekend against Wyoming where she notched her second goal of the season in the 79th minute in a 2-1 defeat.
The redshirt freshman forward increased the Fighting Hawks' lead to 2-0 with her team tying-high third goal of the season in the eventual 3-0 triumph over UAPB. Heading into league play, Pazienza is tied for the team lead with eight points and is tied for second among all league rookies in goals.
