The Huskies jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a trio of wins in doubles action before capturing the first five singles matches to claim a 6-0 advantage and grab the overall match triumph.
North Dakota got on the board at the No. 6 court, with
Christos Alex battling to a three-set victory. The rookie dropped the first set in a 7-6 tiebreaker before grabbing a 7-6 win of his own in the middle stanza to force a winner-take-all super tiebreak. In the extra session, Alex notched a 10-8 win to secure the point for the visitors.
UND jumps right back into action on Saturday afternoon against the University of Chicago at 2 p.m. from the Windy City.
