GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota Fighting Hawks tally their fifth draw of the season after a 90 minute battle that ended in a 1-1 decision against South Dakota.
Sophomore
Kaylie Fowler gave the Hawks an early lead with a goal in the 4th minute. She was assisted by
Irene Jirasevijinda and
Avery Toms who got her the ball inside the box where she was able to tap on in before the goalkeeper could get down to make the save.
South Dakota's Zanin Janaina equalized the game in the 52nd minute after a long boot from the left side of the pitch.
UND will remain at home to host South Dakota State on Sunday, October 20 at 1 p.m. The conference dual will be broadcasted on Midco Sports and streamed on the Summit League Network.
