SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A duo of University of North Dakota soccer student athletes were honored by The Summit League on Thursday morning, as announced by the conference officials.
Freshman goalkeeper
Grace Miller headlined the 2024 selections with a spot on the All-Summit Newcomer Team and an honorable mention. Junior
Amelia Loeffler earned her second consecutive selection with an honorable mention nod.
In her inaugural season with the Fighting Hawks, Miller made a significant impact in goal, starting 17-of-18 games. With over 1,345 minutes in net, she faced 287 shots, allowing 22 goals for a goals-against average of 1.47. Miller recorded 89 saves with a save percentage of .802, securing two shutouts while contributing to three wins. Her performance showcased throughout the season earned her a spot on the Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 Freshman ranking list.
Loeffler continued to build on her impressive career, appearing and starting in 15 matches. She tallied four goals and one assist, totaling nine points on the season. Loeffler began the campaign strong, netting goals in back-to-back games against Minnesota Crookston and Alabama St. The junior also potted the first conference goal for the Hawks in the opening minutes against Oral Roberts.
