SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota volleyball freshman attacker Vanessa Imoh has been honored by the Summit League as it was announced on Saturday morning that the Torrance, California native has been named to the league's all-freshman team. Imoh is one of seven first-year performers honored by the league.
 
Imoh's collegiate debut came in the second match of a 16-match Summit League schedule and the 5-9 outside/right side excelled from the jump. She entered into the second set of North Dakota's contest at Kansas City and proceeded to play the next 56 conference sets, which included nine starts, for the Fighting Hawks.
 
In all, Imoh hit .203 (115-54-300) and totaled 129.0 points. In addition to her 115 kills, she added 28.0 total blocks, 20 digs and three assists.
 
Imoh produced three matches with double-digit kill totals including a career high 11 in UND's sweep of Oral Roberts. She hit .250 or better in a match eight times with six of those clips coming on 18 or more attacks. Imoh powered hit clips of .389 (9-2-18) against Denver and .381 (10-2-21) at South Dakota State, while her collegiate debut against the Roos saw her attack at .333 (4-1-9).
 
Defensively, Imoh delivered nine matches with multiple blocks. Six times she recorded three or more and produced four total blocks in a match twice with both instances coming against Denver.
 
From her midseason debut through the end of the '24 season, Imoh ranked third on the team in kills, kills per set, total attacks, block assists and total blocks and ranked fourth in total points.
 
Imoh joins teammate Paige Barber (2022) and former Hawks Alexa Albinson (2020) and Taliyah Flores (2018) as UND representatives on the league's all-freshman team.
