Next Game: vs. Eastern Illinois
After a canceled season opener, the University of North Dakota women's basketball team returns to The Betty to host Eastern Illinois for their new season opener. Tip-off is set for Friday, November 8 at 7 p.m.

Watch the Hawks
All UND women's basketball games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with longtime broadcaster Jack Michaels calling the action. Monday's game can be heard on 100.3 FM (Cat Country).

Friday's game can be seen on the Summit League Network, with a subscription.

Series History vs. The Panthers
Friday marks the second meeting between the Hawks and Panthers, with the first being just last season. UND played in Charleston, Illinois on December 7 last season where they dropped the contest 55-67.

Last Time Out: vs Oral Roberts
The Fighting Hawks 2023-24 season ended with a 68-91 loss to No. 3 Oral Roberts in the quarterfinals of the Summit League Tournament.

Kiyah Hurst notched her fifth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kiera Pemberton joined in double-figures with 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

Starting the Season with a Win
NoDak's 70-61 win over Detroit Mercy in last year's season opener was just the second time in the Division I era that the Hawks have started the season with a win. The Hawks snapped a 13-season opening loss streak and are now 2-13 since moving to Division I.

Prior to last season, the last time the Hawks won the season opener was during their first Division I season against Eastern Michigan in 2008. A win at home would be the eighth time in the D1 era that UND won their first home game of the season.

Let's Try This Again
The Fighting Hawks will have a new season opener after their game at Youngstown State was canceled due to a campus wide power outage. At this time, no makeup game has been announced and the game has been declared a no contest.

With the exception of 2020, this is the first time UND has had a game canceled.
